Yin Lu of the Intelligent Transportation Research Department of Shanghai Electric Power Intelligent Systems Co., Ltd. would never have thought that the "SODA Open Data Innovation and Application Contest", which was signed up spontaneously on a whim, not only won the support of the company, but also led the team to win the SODA award and the 50000 yuan bonus.

Let's go back to July 17--
In the name of the regiment, dream as a horse
Since 2015, Shanghai has held the SODA Open Data Innovation and Application Competition for four consecutive years, bringing together many big data talents to participate, boosting the development of the big data industry, and causing great repercussions worldwide. The co-organizers of the competition are the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Central Network Information Office. The co-organizers of the competition are the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economic and Information Technology and the Anhui Provincial Economic and Information Commission, which instantly enhance the credibility and influence of the competition.
It is based on the above reasons and the "traffic" problems specially listed on the official website of the competition that Yin Lu got a hot heart and signed up. From Southeast University and the National University of Singapore, where he once studied, to the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA), where he once worked, to Shanghai Electric Intelligence, Yin Lu's enthusiasm for the transportation field has not changed. After the application, she excitedly shared the news with her colleagues. Unexpectedly, her colleagues responded one after another. In the name of "iTransport", the participating team was born!

Afterwards, when the editor asked her why she was able to assemble this team so quickly, she replied: "It is because of everyone's love for transportation. Everyone has great expectations for the future development of intelligent transportation, and they also hope to pass the competition. Can contribute to the technological innovation of intelligent transportation."
It is with enthusiasm that the "iTransport" team has learned the relevant technologies and knowledge in the application fields of block chain and big data after work. Hadoop, Python, Spark and other tool applications are also self-taught while designing models. Zhu Yi, Wang Wei, Pan Zhiyi and other colleagues also gave them support in their respective fields. Every day after work, when people pass by the Intelligent Transportation Research Department, they can see such a hot scene. Yin Lu, Wang Yifan, Ding Wanting, Yang Zihao and Wang Junxia get together to brainstorm, discuss plans and read books.
In line with the common dream of "making traffic smarter, making travel safer, and making the city better", they finally won the top 12 places and won the SODA award trophy.
Pass on the fire, hand in hand
In fact, the process of the game is not very smooth.
This year, in addition to Shanghai, the three provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui joined the SODA competition for the first time and opened the Yangtze River Delta data for the first time. Therefore, well-known universities, research institutes, design institutes, and the world's top 500 companies are flocking. This year, the number of applicants for the competition exceeded 1000. With more than 500 entries, the competition can be described as fierce. Seeing this situation, the "iTransport" team set a small goal: "We will enter the semi-finals."

The company and department leaders knew at the first time that this group of young people had signed up for the competition, watched them stay up late every day to change the plan, and specifically approved them to use their working hours to design the competition plan. In the face of the interview with the editor, the leaders said this: "Looking at their youthful faces, it seems that they saw what they looked like when they were young, and we have also been in the company day and night for engineering and technological innovation, discussing with colleagues all night. I hope they can grow through this competition, temper the team, and become the backbone of the company in the future."
When the preliminary results were announced, 100 teams entered the semi-finals, and the "iTransport" team was temporarily ranked 42nd.
In the face of such an achievement, the players are both excited and somewhat unwilling. "Maybe we can try and make it to the top 27 and make it to the finals!" Such thoughts linger in the minds of the players.
Leaders and technical experts once again lend a helping hand to the players--
Zhao Huaibai, assistant to the general manager of the company and general manager of the intelligent transportation business department, shared his years of business experience and work experience with young people who participated in such competitions for the first time. As an expert leader, he not only answered questions and provided books related to block chain for the team members in terms of professional technology, but also pointed out the direction and path of the competition from the perspective of being a judge of similar activities, and helped the team to formulate the competition strategy;
On the eve of the final defense, even though he was on a business trip as far away as Xinjiang, he still took time to conduct remote video with the team members to discuss the technical ideas of block chain;
Zhou Jianfeng, a technical expert in the Intelligent Transportation Division, has been giving technical guidance to the players throughout the competition;
Wu Chaoteng, chief engineer of the Big Data Division, helped the team members as cross-departmental foreign aid and provided them with technical support for Hadoop data storage.
The earnest teaching and meticulous care of the "electric science predecessors" moved this group of "electric science newcomers" and learned a lot from them, whether in terms of technology or character ~

"Not on the spot, but really from the bottom of my heart to thank the leaders for their concern and guidance! Our victory cannot be separated from their advice!" This is what the players said most after the match in the face of the interview.
Inheritance, innovation
iTransport team's work "Building a Traffic Block Chain to Take a Taxi to Travel More Peace of Mind" embodies the common scientific and technological innovation spirit of "new and old electricity professionals" and the pursuit of intelligent transportation. It embodies the inheritance and innovation.
InnovationThis work moved the judges and won the winning prize by virtue of the innovative concept of "building the Yangtze River Delta traffic block chain, breaking the data monopoly of the centralized platform, realizing a more peer-to-peer, open, independent and free big data basic protocol, and building a safer, credible, open and mobile new ecology of mobile travel.
InheritanceThe "electric science predecessors" have rich experience, guiding, earnestly teaching, selfless dedication, and working together for the "electric science newcomers". The "electric science newcomers" took over the baton from the "electric science predecessors" and constantly explored new technologies, and their breaking the traditional thinking also injected new vitality into the electric science intelligence!
At this moment, Xiaobian saw the inheritance of the spirit of electric science from these young people. Because of the enthusiasm of intelligent transportation, we met in the intelligence of electric science. Because of the spirit of electric science, we are intelligent cohesion in electric science!
Let's take a good look at this team again.

"I signed up for the competition on a whim, and like-minded people made me and the team members into a team, and the help of noble people made us cut through the thorns all the way, and the reward for our hard work made us finally achieve great results. This is my, the whole team, the whole company's passion for intelligent transportation, and the vision of creating a safer and better new era of intelligent travel for the public."

"With the help of the company's leaders, in continuous exploration and experimentation, not only personal abilities have been greatly improved, but our entire team has also been trained through close cooperation."

"There is a long way to go in Xiu Yuan. I will go up and down to search for it. The competition has come to an end, but our running of 'making traffic wise' is still in progress."

"Our team is moving forward as a whole. The award is the result of our joint efforts and the strong support of the company's leaders."

"The spirit of electric science has benefited me a lot. Come on, create more value for the intelligent transportation industry!"
Finally, let's sum up with iTransport team's acceptance speech--
"We help transportation and hope that the traffic environment will be better and the city will be better in the future!"
