On December 14-15, 2023, the 2023 Smart Highway Construction and Operation Key Technology Seminar and the 2nd "Southeast University Transportation Power Construction Pilot" Strategic Alliance Annual Meeting were grandly held in Nanjing. The theme of the forum was "Digital Empowerment, Integration Innovation". This annual meeting is co-sponsored by the China Highway Society and Southeast University, and co-organized by the Intelligent Transportation Committee of the Shanghai Highway Society and Shanghai Electric Power Intelligent System Co., Ltd.
A number of leaders and experts from the Ministry of Communications, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Design Institute, and more than 100 representatives of teachers and students from enterprises and universities gathered in Nanjing to exchange and share the latest research results, discuss innovative technologies in depth, and look forward to the prospects and directions of the development of the industry.
At the seminar on the morning of December 15, Liu Chuanlei, deputy secretary-general of the China Highway Society, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Huang Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, deputy director of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and former deputy minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, delivered a keynote speech on "Key Technologies for Green, Low-Carbon and Durable Pavement" at the keynote report meeting.
Wu Xiaodong, rotating president of Shanghai Electrical Science Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. and chairman of IEC/TC125 of Electrical Transportation Equipment Technical Committee of International Electrotechnical Commission, was invited to attend the conferenceEmbrace Digital Transformation to Create a New Era of Smart Highway for Transportation PowerThe keynote speech shared the origin and inheritance of Shanghai Electric Intelligent System Co., Ltd., its innovation and practice in the field of smart roads, as well as the challenges and opportunities it faces.
Wu Xiaodong pointed out that the innovative idea of Electric Science Intelligence in the field of smart roads is based on the deep integration of different users' business needs and new technologies, adhering to the new concept of "digitalization of facility assets, hierarchical twinning of elements, coordination of construction, management, maintenance and transportation, and refinement of travel services", to create two systems of physical roads and digital twin roads to help the full realization of digital transformation of roads. Under the guidance of the innovative concept of "four", the intelligent highway solution of electric power has been formed. Based on the "cloud-network-edge-end" architecture of the electric traffic super-body, the dynamic and static data of highway facilities are collected in full, and a business-oriented factor grading twin base is established to form a "set of data" and a "set of digital twin models" of highway assets, enabling the digital transformation of the whole business process of highway construction-management-maintenance-transportation-service with data and scenes.
Electric smart highway solutions have been applied in many smart highway projects across the country. In the construction of Shanghai's first "new generation of smart highway" S32 Shenjiahu Smart Expressway, relying on the digital pilot construction content of the Ministry of Transport's in-service highway infrastructure, an efficient and collaborative highway smart operation and maintenance and resilient management and control system has been constructed. In the Ningbo South Connection Expressway and Tunnel Intelligent Transformation Project, the active safety control and integrated emergency response capability under the complex environment of the tunnel have been significantly improved. In the intelligent transformation project of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the intelligent perception and collaborative disposal capability of the bridge have been significantly improved, and innovative practices such as integrated emergency command and dispatch have become the industry benchmark.
Wu Xiaodong said that the key technological innovation capability and practical experience of the intelligent highway will continue to provide service value for more users. At the same time, Electric Intelligence will always adhere to the principle of "overall planning, demand-oriented, collaborative sharing, safe application", establish a circular iterative mechanism of "pre-research-demonstration-standard-building-promotion", form an open and sustainable innovation of "politics-production-study-research-use", build an open platform and bridge for smart roads, build an industry ecology, and jointly create the future.
At the technical exchange forum in the afternoon, Yan Min, director of the program department of the intelligent high-speed bridge and tunnel division of Dianke, delivered a keynote speech entitled "intelligent bridge and tunnel construction and innovative application practice. Starting from the demand for the construction of smart bridges and tunnels and the current pain points in the industry, Yan Min emphatically introduced the overall innovative solutions, as well as innovative practical cases such as the smart renovation project of Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge and the upgrading project of Ningbo South Connection Smart Tunnel, which were constructed by Dianke Intelligence, and discussed the future development vision with the participants.
At present, it is in the new period of intelligent highway construction, returning to the essence of pain point demand and basic analysis, and solving the core problem of actual operation service is the key to the construction of intelligent highway. In the future, Electric Science Intelligence will continue to increase product research and development innovation and promotion and application, to build a demonstration benchmark project, with high-quality products and services to help the development of intelligent highway.
