On December 28, 2018, led by the EPC general contracting of Shanghai Municipal Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Dianke Intelligent System Co., Ltd. created the country's first open road with unmanned driving, intelligent network connection, The "smart bus" with many new technologies such as 5G applications was officially put into trial operation in Xiangjiang New District, Hunan.

Hunan Xiangjiang New District Smart Bus Demonstration Line is the first open smart bus project in the country, with a total length of 7.8 kilometers. It starts at the junction of Wangjiang Road and Xueshi Road. It arrives at the terminal of Xuexin Square via Wangjiang Road, Xueshi Road, Lianping Avenue and Hanpu Avenue. It stops at 11 stations along the way, totaling 22 stations in both directions.

The whole "intelligent public transportation" system includes intelligent public transportation integrated management platform, intelligent supervision and safety early warning network connection system, intelligent driving network connection system, platform and road video monitoring system, electronic police and traffic police video monitoring system, passenger information service system, network communication and safety system, ticket selling and checking system, management center computer room software and hardware system.
