On October 22, State Councilor Wang Yong attended the 83rd International Electrotechnical Commission Conference in Shanghai.       Chen Ping, chairman of Shanghai Electric Power Institute, and Wu Yehua, president of Shanghai Electric Power Institute, first reported to Wang Yong and his entourage the achievements made in the development of Shanghai Electric Power Institute over the past 60 years, especially the situation of undertaking national R & D, industry, standardization and industry service platforms in recent years, undertaking the secretariats of 10 national standards committees, domestic counterparts of 9 IEC technical committees, and selecting experts to participate in IEC international standardization work, which has been fully recognized by Wang Yong. Subsequently, Wang Yong conducted a detailed investigation of the intelligent transportation system, intelligent manufacturing and industrial Internet, and the monitoring platform for charging and exchanging facilities in Shanghai. By watching the real-time information system, Wang Yong proposed that it is necessary to continuously strengthen standardization as the guide, increase advanced scientific and technological innovation, and promote the high-quality development of the industry.

When investigating the complete machine laboratory of the National Robot Testing and Evaluation Center (Headquarters), Wang Yong fully affirmed that in terms of industrial robots, he effectively grasped the shortcomings of domestic robots in reliability and positioning accuracy, and carried out fault diagnosis and position accuracy detection and quality improvement. Technical services to improve the overall level of domestic industrial robots; in terms of service robots, it is fully recognized in the three key links of perception, decision-making, and execution, starting from the perception to strengthen testing and research, and it is recommended to strengthen the testing and research of pension and rehabilitation robots. After visiting the high-power power electronics laboratory of the National Smart Grid User End Quality Inspection Center, Wang Yong proposed that the construction of research and test capabilities for key common technologies of new energy can promote energy structure adjustment and contribute to green development.
